HOW TO BE A RESPONSIBLE NETIZEN?

In this more digitalized world, how do you behave online? Do you properly think about your idea before posting it or do you just randomly share what you want? Can you really call yourself a netizen with netiquette or just another "troll" in the internet? Every one of us need to know what the Dos and DONTs in the internet.

· POSTING

In posting pictures, statuses, or other documents online we are free, but in line with that there is still a limit to it. We should know what we SHOULD post and what we SHOULDN’T post. Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are mediums connecting people which means whatever you post, actual human beings with right minds can see it. The phrase “THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK” comes in whenever you post things.

· SHARING

At times we tend to see what others post and find it a lot interesting. And at times we also repost or share other pictures, events, announcements, and a lot more. But in this, we should still consider if what we are sharing is reliable and trustworthy for us to prevent to what we call now fake news.

· COMMENTING

It is not bad to give your own opinions and perspective on certain topics although you should do it in a proper and educated manner. This enables you to avoid any type of controversy amongst other people using the site.

· CREDITING

Sometimes we get pictures, quotes, and loads more from our friends, family, classmates, and co-workers so it would be more respectful of you if you would credit it to them. This also takes effect on of sites, well-known people, etc. Taking from people without people without their consent is an act of hoarding and stealing so you should credit it to them.

· PRIVACY

Privacy means a lot to each and every one of us so we should respect theirs so they can respect ours. We shouldn’t post other’s pictures and personal information online without their permission. And same goes to you, don’t post everything that’s happening in your life just because you feel like it. Doing so you can be safe from posers and getting your info all over the net.

· ADVOCATING TRUTH

In our lives the truth is one of the best things there is but today it is hard to know what is true or what is not. As netizens we should be advocates of truth and help promote it through our posts, comments, or in any way we can.
